Zhenjiang is located between two major metropoles, Nanjing and Shanghai, and all road traffic connecting the two cities pass through here. Huning (Shanghai-Nanjing) Expressway is a major road transportation artery, connecting Shanghai to Nanjing and other cities between them, including Zhenjiang. Yangshu Express is another major transportation artery, connecting Zhenjiang and Yangzhou. Runyang Bridge is a part of this Expressway. All of these provide convenient and safe access for self-drive travelers to Zhenjiang.

Zhenjiang is close to Nanjing. The distance between Zhenjiang and Nanjing is only 60 km. It will take 40 minutes by car. From Shanghai to Zhenjiang, the driving distance is 230 km. You will spend two and a half hours on the road. It is also very easy to drive from Lukou International Airport in Nanjing. The time by car to Zhenjiang from this airport is only 50 minutes.
