| Spring |
Each year from March to April is the blossom season
and we strongly recommend you take a trip to our
picturesque and lively parks and mountains such
as Baota Hill Park, Baohua Mountain and Mao Mountain. |
Baota Hill Park
|
 |
Baota Hill Park, also known as the ¡°Friendship
Garden between China and Japan¡± boasts unique architectural
style with a mix of Chinese classical gardens and
Japanese flavor. Every year during spring time,
plum flowers blossom together with Sakura, adding
strong sense of vitality to the park. |
Mao Mountain
|
Mao Mountain belongs to national 4A
tourist region, one of the China top ten scenic
spots of taosim. The prime peak of Mao Mountain
is 307 meters, the shape of which is like a Chinese
character ¡°ÒÑ¡±. Mao Mountain is well-known for its
straight peaks, mysterious caves, running springs,
distincitve stones and ancient trees. The Maoshan
Taosim Temple is the birthplace of the Qing Faction
of Taoism. It was initially bulit 2,000 years ago
in the West Han Dynasty and regarded as ¡°the Eight
Sight¡± and ¡°the First Holly Land¡± by Taoists. Spring
is when the Mao Mountain Temple Fair is
held. |
Baohua Mountain
|
Situated on the north part of Ju Rong, Baohua
Mountain is about 32 kilometers from the city center
of Zhenjiang. There are 36 ridges and peaks altogether,
in the shape of 36 petals of lotus. The higheset
peak of Baohua Mountain reaches 437.2 meters, which
is the highest among the Ningzhen Mountain ranges.
Baohua mountain baosts its elegant white Yulan flowers
and April every year is high time for Yulan

Summer |
Zhenjiang Culture Carnival
Summer is too hot and humid to go sightseeing
outdoor? Don¡¯t worry! Zhenjiang offers some interesting
events for you during this time of year.
Zhenjiang Culture Carnival, from April
to the end of June, is a comprehensive festival
consisting of art performances, exhibitions, musicals,
operas and films, etc. The following is a list
of activities during the carnival which you can
participate in.

| Autumn |

Each year during autumn, Zhenjiang offers a series
of festivals namely, Mao Mountain Tourism Cultural
Festival, Danyang Jizi Tourism Cultural Festival,
Yangzhong City River-food Tourism Cultural Festival
and Dantu Jiangxinzhou Potherb Festival. During
the festival, you can watch performances by local
folk artisans; see the paper-cut with your own
eyes; taste the local deliciousness, etc.
Simply take part in these festivals and activities,
and you are sure to have a good time!

| Jin
Mountain Tourism Cultural Festival

From September to October is when the Jin Mountain
Tourism Cultural Festival takes place. It is a pageant
consisting of attracting investments, tourism forums,
food cultures, travels in scenic spots, etc. A series
of activities including Zhenjiang ¡°Three Strange
Food¡± Festival, Jiao Mountain Osmanthus Festival,
Tourism Souvenirs Design Competition and other activities
will richen this festival. For example, Jiao Mountain
Osmanthus Festival will hold a large number of activities
to cater to the taste of different people such as
Osmanthus Food Cooking Competition, Treasure Hunt
in Osmanthus Garden, etc.

| Winter |
| Winter is the best season to visit our mysterious
and religious Jinshan temple. There are several
temples located on the slope of the Jin Mountain.
Jinshan Temple was the most famous one which was
built over 1,600 years ago. Legend said that a white
snake turned into a girl and married a young scholar
named Xu Xian. A monk Fa Hai tried again and again
to undermine their marriage. Out of indignation,
the white snake summoned a deluge and flooded Jinshan
Temple. |

Every year on December 31st- January 1st, from
21:00 to 0:00 is when the New Year Bell
Striking at Jinshan Temple takes place.
The custom of striking the bell originated from
the Tang Dynasty, this activity has continued
for more than 1,000 years. Every New Year¡¯s Eve,
there are more than 10,000 participants from home
and abroad who come here. The activities include
night tours in Jin Mountain, tourism merchandise
fairs, bell striking, wish making and vegetarian
food tasting. Take part in these special activities
to celebrate the coming year, good luck will come
to you.
