This place is Zhenjiang, a dynamic and beautiful city,
a place in the way of myths, legends and meaningful

Jinshan Temple
There are several temples located on the slope of the
Jin Mountain. Jinshan Temple was the most famous one,
built over 1,600 years ago. There is a legend about
this temple: a white snake turned into a girl and married
a young scholar named Xu Xian. A monk, Fa Hai, tried
again and again to undermine their marriage. Out of
indignation, the white snake summoned a deluge and flooded
Jinshan Temple.
Xijin Ancient Street
Xijin Ancient Street, located at the foot of Yuntai
Mountain, is the area with the densest and most well-preserved
historical relics in Zhenjiang. It is the ¡°cultural
context¡± of this famous historic and cultural city.
Now there are eleven protective historic relic units
including one national protective relic unit and two
provincial protective historic relic units there.
Hengshun Vinegar Factory
Zhenjiang Hengshun Vinegar Factory was founded in the
Qing Dynasty (1840), the cradle of the Chinese vinegar
industry. It is also among the list of the first batch
of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Here, you
can learn about the artistry of making vinegar.
Zhenjiang Museum
Zhenjiang Museum is a local historic
comprehensive art museum, founded in 1958. The original
building is the former site of the British Consulate.
In 1996, Zhenjiang Museum was approved to the national
protective relic unit by the State Council. You will
enter into a first-class garden-like museum of China.

Former Residence
of Pearl Buck
Pearl Buck was a prolific Pulitzer Prize-winning American
author. In 1938, she became the first American woman
to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, for her
rich and truly epic descriptions of peasant life in
China (especially in Zhenjiang) and for her biographical
masterpieces. Zhenjiang, her Chinese hometown, is her
source of inspiration. The Former Residence of Pearl
Buck will evoke the unlimited memories of this great
woman.
